This building is designed as a contemporary infill development informed by the scale and form of the adjoining buildings, yet presenting a contemporary counterpoint to the featureless streetscape context. The development accommodates two large family size medium density homes within a cleverly arranged composition of external built form which presents to the streetscape as a luxurious single dwelling, maintaining the dominant neighbourhood theme. The projecting vertical and horizontal planes suspended above a frameless glass base, at ground level, give this building a distinct ‘floating’ weightlessness.
