The site at Redmond Street is uniquely perched on top of a land crest that descends rapidly towards the Yarra River and Studley Park. The innovative pavilion houses are nestled into the tiered natural land form and characterised by glass walls providing thermal insolation and balanced natural light to interior spaces along with uninterrupted views of surrounding parkland and distant cityscape. The symmetrical footprint is divided into two wings, one for parents and one for children. The central spine accommodating the living zones joins the two wings via glazed links.
